Sioux City 3, Lincoln 1 – Box RBI singles by SS Nate Samson and CF Tim Colwell staked Sioux City to a 2-0 lead after one inning and that would prove to be enough as they went on to beat the Lincoln Saltdogs by a 3-1 final. Samson had three hits on the night along with a pair of runs while C Ralph Henriquez and 1B Ino Patron each chipped in two hits with Henriquez driving in a run. Sioux City starting pitcher Jake Kuebler threw six solid innings to earn his third win of the season. Kuebler allowed an unearned run on three hits with three walks and three punchouts. With the win, the Explorers have now tied the Saltdogs atop the Central Division with Gary SouthShore a game back. Sioux Falls 4, Gary SouthShore 3 – Box Trailing 1-0 through 4 ½ innings, Sioux Falls scored two runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to jump ahead 4-1 and would hold on for a 4-3 win over Gary SouthShore.
