Sioux City 16, Winnipeg 1 – Box The Sioux City Explorers scored early and often in this one as they rolled past the Winnipeg Goldeyes by the score of 16-1. Sioux City tallied 10 runs over the first four innings of play and pounded out 17 hits in the contest. Explorers SS Nate Samson went 2-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBI while RF Michael Lang added three hits and three runs. Sioux City 1B/C Brendan Slattery also chipped in with three hits, two runs and three RBI. Explorers starting pitcher Cody Forsythe received plenty of run support and collected his 10th win of the season. Forsythe allowed an earned run on two hits with six strikeouts in six innings pitched. Sioux Falls 2, Lincoln 1 – Box Sioux Falls starting pitcher Dylan Thompson was sensational on the mound in leading the Canaries to a 2-1 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Thompson threw a complete game allowing only an unearned run on four hits with a pair of walks and seven strikeouts. The righty picked up the win and is now 4-1 on the season.
