EXPLORERS’ JORDAN TOSSES THREE-HIT SHUTOUT IN WIN OVER GOLDEYES

Sioux City 5, Winnipeg 0- Box Score SP Taylor Jordan (1-3) put together a masterful three-hit no-walk shutout against the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Thursday, striking out six in the process. The Explorers took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fifth with CF Kyle Wren hitting an RBI triple and RF Michael Lang hitting a two-run home run in back-to-back at bats. LF Luke Bonfield and SS Nate Samson also drove in runners for Sioux City. SP Kevin McGovern lasted seven innings in the start for the Goldeyes.
