SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota – Justin Byrd doubled in the 9th inning to extend his hitting streak to a season-high 11 games, but the ‘Dogs stranded the tying run in scoring position in a 6-5 loss to the Sioux Falls Canaries at Sioux Falls Stadium on Sunday afternoon. BOX SCORE Byrd led off the 9th with a double, but Caleb Frare recorded three consecutive groundouts to finish the game and end Lincoln’s six-game road winning streak – tied for the longest in the American Association this season. The ‘Dogs (31-30) fell behind on Mike Hart’s solo homer in the 2nd, but scored twice in the 3rd to take the lead. Skyler Weber scored on a wild pitch before Ryan Long hit a sacrifice fly.
