DOGS EDGE RAILROADERS WITH LATE RUN

Chicago 7, Cleburne 6 – Box Score The Chicago Dogs scored the game-winning run in the top of the eighth inning as they topped the Cleburne Railroaders 7-6. The match was tied 6-6 heading into the eighth inning but SS Stephen Perez scored what turned out to be the difference making run on a pass ball with two outs. Perez, who was 1-for-2 with an RBI in the game, drew a walk earlier in the inning. CF Kenny Wilson went 2-for-3 with two runs scored for the Dogs and DH Tony Rosselli also added a pair of hits as well as an RBI and a run scored. Rosselli, 1B Trey Vavra and 2B Edwin Arroyo all homered for the Dogs. For the Railroaders, SS Angel Sosa went 3-for-5 with an RBI (a solo home run) and two runs scored and 2B Chase Simpson hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the third. DH Cameron Monger also left the yard on the night.
