Chicago 12, Sioux City 6 – Box Score The Chicago Dogs (12-8) blasted six home runs on the way to a 12-6 win against the Sioux City Explorers in the series opener. 1B K.C. Hobson hit the first of those home runs with a solo shot in the top of the first inning. 3B Johnny Adams hit a lead-off homer in the second and Hobson homered again in the third, this time belting out a two-run shot. In the fourth, SS Harrison Smith hit a three-run shot and in the seventh, CF Anfernee Grier (2-for-5) hit a two-run homer and 2B Grant Kay (2-for-3) blasted a three-run bomb. The six homers are just one short of the league record for home runs in a game, set by Sioux Falls in 2010 and matched by St. Paul in 2019.
