DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks’ OF Keury De La Cruz (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending May 29th. De La Cruz batted .400 (10-for-25), hitting three home runs, 10 RBI and scored five runs. His week was highlighted on May 27th as he went 4-for-5, launching three home runs while knocking in eight RBI and soring four runs in the RedHawks’ 13-3 win over Wichita. De La Cruz currently is tied for the team lead in batting average .364, RBI with 10, and home runs with three. He spent 2009-2015 with the Boston Red Sox organization. In 2014, he reached the AA level with the Portland Sea Dogs where he hit .295, seven home runs, and 30 RBI. A year later with Portland, he smacked nine home runs and 47 RBI. The RedHawks, who are currently 5-5, will host the Sioux City Explorers at 6:00 from Newman Outdoor Field.
