Cleburne Blasts Milkmen in First Meeting

FRANKLIN, Mil. (July 9, 2019) – The Cleburne Railroaders scored five runs in the top of the second and cruised from there, claiming the first-ever meeting against the Milwaukee Milkmen 9-1 on Tuesday night at Routine Field. With the score tied 1-1 entering the second, Cleburne (27-22) jumped all over Milwaukee starter T.J. House (7-2). K.C. Huth ripped an RBI single to give the Railroaders the lead, then Daniel Robertson followed with a two-run double down the left field line that turned into a little-league home run. The relay throw to the plate bounced off Huth into foul ground, allowing Robertson to come all the way around to score. Chase Simpson capped the scoring in the inning with a towering solo homer, giving Cleburne a 6-1 advantage. House came into the game having not allowed more than four runs in any start this season.
