Chicago 4, Sioux Falls 2 — Box Score The Chicago Dogs earned the first win in franchise history on Saturday by taking care of Sioux Falls 4-2 in the second game of the season-opening series. The Dogs opened the game with an RBI single from CF Kyle Gaedele in the top of the first inning. RF Joe Benson hit his first home run of the season in the fourth inning to double the Dogs’ lead. Things heated up in the closing innings as Chicago added another run in the top of the inning and RF Chris Grayson homered for the Canaries. C Wilfredo Rodriguez bounced out to score DH Craig Maddox in the top of the ninth, pushing the lead to 4-1. RF Chris Jacobs singled to score SS Blake Schmit in the bottom of the ninth but reliever Kaohi Downing halted the rally there and earned the save. Starting pitcher Kylin Turnbull picked up the win for tossing six innings without allowing a run on just two hits.
