Bullpen Dazzles as Cleburne Battles Past Saltdogs

CLEBURNE, Texas (June 30, 2021) – Behind some early offense and five shutout innings from the bullpen, the Cleburne Railroaders secured a series win with a 4-2 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs on Wednesday night at The Depot at Cleburne Station. Cleburne (20-18) raced out to a 4-0 lead through three innings. In the bottom of the second, Zach Nehrir led off the inning with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly from Hunter Clanin. After a single and a strikeout, Noah Vaughan crushed a long two-run home run to right field, pushing the advantage out to 3-0.Nehrir made it 4-0 Railroaders in the bottom of the third with an RBI single. The Cleburne centerfielder finished the night 3-for-4, raising his season average to .367.Lincoln (17-19) began to chip away in the top of the fourth.
