Durham, N.C. — The contract of Wichita Wingnuts RHP Chad Nading has been purchased by the Milwaukee Brewers organization, the American Association announced on Friday. Nading was dominant out of the Wingnuts’ bullpen in his first season with the club, assembling a 1.83 ERA in 39.1 innings of work while fanning 30 and limiting righthanded batters to a .207 batting average. Previously, the Anchorage, Alaska, native pitched in the Japan BC League, the Frontier League and the North American League. Nading was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by San Diego in 2010 out of Nevada-Las Vegas, and spent one season in the Padres’ organization. Nading is the fourth Wichita pitcher to have his contract sold to a major-league organization in 2016, following RHP Ryan Kussmaul (Arizona), LHP Alex Sogard (Baltimore) and RHP Derek Eitel (San Diego).
