BERGIN BOOSTS CANARIES TO WALK-OFF WIN

Sioux Falls 9, Laredo 8 — Box Score Sioux Falls 1B David Bergin’s big night lifted the Canaries to a walk-off 9-8 win against the Laredo Lemurs. In the bottom of the ninth and after the Lemurs had scored three runs to take an 8-6 lead in the top of the frame, the Canaries loaded up the bases for Bergin. With one out, Bergin slapped a bases-clearing double to walk off on the Lemurs. Bergin, who finished the night 2-for-4 with five RBI, also hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. Three different Lemurs – CF Drew Martinez, 2B J.D. Pulfer and SS Alvaro Rondon – each had three hits in the game and Rondon added a pair of RBI. Lincoln 4, Wichita 3 — Box Score The Lincoln Saltdogs racked up 17 hits in the game but none more important than C Ryan Wiggins’ triple in the top of the tenth that scored SS Danier Moreira that ultimately gave Lincoln a 4-3 win against the Wichita Wingnuts.
