BARNUM’S BLAST IN THE 10TH CARRIES DOGS TO VICTORY

Chicago 4, Milwaukee 3 (10 Innings) – Box Score Designated hitter Keon Barnum launched a solo home run in the top of the 10th inning to give Chicago a 4-3 lead and they would go on to beat Milwaukee by that same score. Barnum has hit 30 home runs on the year and is now tied the league record for most home runs in a single season. Along with Barnum, LF Kelly Dugan and 3B Jordan Dean each had a 2-for-4 night with a run scored while SS Gustavo Pierre had a hit in four at-bats and an RBI. In total, the Dogs had 10 hits in the game. Chicago pitcher Rich Mascheri threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and nabbed the victory.
