MOORHEAD, MN- The American Association announced the All-Star team for the 2018 season on Monday September 3. An all-star game will not be played this season, but the contest will return next season and will be held at CHS field. The Wichita Wingnuts and Sioux City Explorers paced the league with three all stars a piece. The All-Stars: Catcher: Justin OConnor, St. Paul Saints Leads Saints with 17 home runs Fifth on the team with 41 RBIs First Baseman: Brady Shoemaker, St. Paul Saints Hitting .311 Leads the team with 69 RBIs Second Baseman: Logan Watkins, Wichita Wingnuts Third in the league with a .335 average Stole 22 bases Third Baseman: Jose Sermo, Sioux City Explorers Leads the league with 81 RBIs Hitting .314 Fifth in the league with 24 stolen bases Shortstop: Nate Samson, Sioux City Explorers Third straight American Association All-Star team Leads the league with a .341 batting average Fifth in the league with 73 RBIs Outfielder: Todd Cunningham, Kansas City T-Bones Second in the league with a .338 batting average Stole 17 bases Outfielder: Michael Lang, Sioux City Explorers Hitting .306 with 9 home runs and 45 RBIs Outfielder: Dillon Thomas, Texas AirHogs Fourth in the…
