The North American League’s Northern Division, which consists of the California and Hawaii teams, has a degree of news from the past few days:
- The San Rafael Pacifics played an exhibition game at their home stadium this past Friday night
- The 2009 Golden League Pitcher of the Year is going to start for the Pacifics opening game
- The Pacifics scheduled third starter, Tyler Pearson, is also going to be the team’s pitching coach
- Mike LaCoss, originally scheduled to the Pacifics pitching coach, is no longer with the team
- Joe Morello is going to be the manager of the Sonoma County Grapes team
- Albie Lopez is going to be the Grapes’ pitching coach
- Eri Yoshida, the female pitcher who was on the Chico Outlaws (2010) and the Maui team (2011) has re-signed with Maui
