This year’s updated list of independent baseball teams reflects several changes across the industry. Included are the three main “unknown variables” for this season: East Coast Baseball League, Mount Rainier Professional Baseball League, and the Ozarks Professional Baseball League.
Here is the updated list of teams for 2015 as of the time of this post:
Here are the changes broken down by league from the 2014 season:
- American Association: added Joplin Blasters
- Atlantic League: no changes
- Can-Am League: Added Ottawa Champions, Sussex County Miners, and Garden State Grays (temporary road team)
- East Coast Baseball League: added league and team information
- Frontier League: no changes
- Mount Rainier Professional Baseball League: added league and team information
- Ozarks Professional Baseball League: added league information, no teams yet announced
- Pacific Association: no changes
- Pecos League: lost Bisbee Blue, lost Douglas Diablos, lost Raton Osos, lost Taos Blizzard, picked up Garden City Wind, picked up the returning Las Cruces Vaqueros
- United League Baseball: dormant for 2015
Please note that this lineup for the 2015 season is subject to change, especially with the three startup leagues. Should teams be added, get dropped or if teams become road/travel teams during the season then that news will be posted on this site.
