The Tijuana Cimarrones of the GBL selected their stadium this week. More information and quotes from the GBL Commissioner can be found here:
Tijuana is a security concern as well as a logistical concern, but IndependentBaseball.net hopes that the GBL offices and their teams have the appropriate security and conduct measures in place to offer great entertainment. Should all go well then Tijuana has the potential for having some of the (if not the) largest crowds in independent baseball history.
Feel free to leave your comments on the Tijuana team and stadium situation.

I am really curious as to the Tijuana security situation for those players on the roster to the players from visiting teams. I would assume that the GBL has done their due diligence regarding safety, security and logistics to have a franchise in an area that is volatile to say the least. I know of a player offered a contract to play for Tijuana but is looking at other option because of those concerns. Does anyone have any further comments or information regarding player safety and security that they could shed light on?
Tijuana has its problems, but it’s not exactly Juarez or Nuevo Laredo.
