Last night the Sonoma Stompers defeated the San Rafael Pacifics 5-4 to win their first Pacific Association championship in team history. The Stompers have been added to the list of historical independent baseball league champions since the 1993 inception of independent baseball. That page can be found by clicking this link:

Sonoma made national news earlier this year by signing three women to play on the team during regular season games. The final roster for Sonoma’s championship win, however, doesn’t show that the women were active for the game. Here is the roster as updated by Sonoma’s website:
