The Sioux Falls Canaries played in the Northern League and the American Association until they changed ownership and became the current Sioux Falls Pheasants. Former Canaries employee, Becky Moen, recently published a novel based on her experiences with the team. It is titled, “Down and Inside: The Mostly True Story of a Girl’s Life in the Minors.”
