Late last week, New York State officials halted construction on the new stadium in Ramapo, NY. The stadium is being constructed for the new Rockland Boulders independent minor league team which is scheduled to be in the 2011 Can-Am League season.
The officials found an environmental violation by the contractors in charge of building the stadium. Once construction resumes then it will be posted on this site.
The Ramapo stadium construction has been a hot topic during this off-season due to a vocal opposition group in the area. Additionally, the citizens of Ramapo voted against guaranteeing a bond for the stadium’s construction in the past local elections.
