A recent article came out about the owners of the Shreveport-Bossier Captains possibly considering a move to another league, while still playing in the same stadium, to reduce costs due to poor attendance:
The article mentions the Texas Collegiate League, but current Captains’ GM Carey said that the team is planning on remaining a professional league. Speculation has come up about which league would take Shreveport (NAL adding it to its Southern Division Texas teams, Pecos League, Texas Collegiate) and others have privately said that the team is going to stay in the American Association. Since too much speculation exists, the team’s status for 2012 will be posted when confirmed by the owners and its chosen league’s offices.
