On Sunday, the Quebec Capitales won the 2023 Frontier League championship series, defeating the Evansville Otters by a final score of 12-3. The Capitales repeated as they also won the 2022 Frontier League championship.
This is the ninth league championship in team history going back to the 2006 Can-Am League championship. The Capitales have been added to the list of historical independent minor league champions going back to 1993:
The only other back-to-back Frontier League champions include the Richmond Roosters (2001 and 2002), Windy City Thunderbolts (2007 and 2008), and the Schaumburg Boomers (2013 and 2014).
