The Pittsfield Colonials team no longer will be in the Can-Am League:
The article quotes Colonials’ owner, Buddy Lewis, was quoted as saying that a possible deal with a party in Quebec fell through at the last minute. The Can-Am League revoked the club’s charter, and the players’ rights either will be claimed in a dispersal draft or become unrestricted free agents.
This leaves the Can-Am League with 7 teams, and likely 6 for 2012 assuming the New York Federals travel team does not return due to a lack of necessity.
