The Pecos League had two announcements this past week. The first is that the official league alignment is going to have 8 teams this year, expanding from 6 teams last year. The League announced that it will have two new teams: the Pueblo Westerners and the Pecos Bills.
A writer in the Las Cruces area offered his opinion on the reasons for the alignment, including geographic proximity for the alignment. The League put this article on their home page’s news section:
The second announcement was that the Pecos League will be using Zephyr hats for all of their teams in 2013. The league also said that each cap will have the teams’ respective state flags on the back:
