The Pecos League’s Santa Fe Fuego team was the focus of a new “mini book”, called Legends Of Last Place. It chronicles the team, which finished last in the Pecos League in 2012, as the “worst professional baseball team in America.”
The mini-book writer, Abe Streep, evidently is friends with a writer at the New York Times “6th Floor Blog”. The Times’ writer covered his friend’s book recently and gives some perspective on the Fuego players and what they went through at the bottom tier of the pro baseball ranks in 2012.
