The Pecos League had two pieces of news last week:

- The Santa Fe city council narrowly approved beer sales at its local stadium: http://www.santafenewmexican.com/Local%20News/Coss-clears-way-for-ballpark-beer-sales
The Santa Fe announcement clears the way for the Santa Fe Mountain Lions to be a new Pecos League team which will begin play in 2012. No word yet on when a field manager or general manager for the Mountain Lions will be named. It is also not yet known if the two teams from 2011 which are not returning (Ruidoso Osos and Carlsbad Bats travel team) will automatically move any of their players to a particular team for 2012. Should any of that information become confirmed then it will be added to this website.
