The second article mentions potential expansion sites for the GBL in Tijuana, originally scheduled for last year, and Scottsdale Arizona. With St. George’s folding last week and the Maui situation not yet defined, IndependentBaseball.net will keep you up to date with the GBL’s news once everything becomes confirmed for 2010.
All changes to the GBL, and the remaining 7 leagues, will be added to the appropriate page tabs near the top of the page. Currently, everything is based on the 2009 alignment; and the changes will be made when all leagues have announced their 2010 official schedules.
In the meantime, Palm Springs has had independent professional baseball in the past. Here is a resource with links to additional resources if you wish to become more familiar with the history of professional baseball in the area.
