Ballpark Digest came out a few hours ago with a report that the North American League is no more. They are claiming that its replacement will be the Pacific Association (possibly “Pacific Baseball Association” – ?) which this site reported a few weeks ago (http://www.independentbaseball.net/independent-baseball-teams/upcoming-pacific-baseball-association/):

There is another post of interest here:
What is unsettling is, that as of the time of this post, there is no announcement of this on any of the websites of the main participants:
- San Rafael Pacifics site
- Sonoma County Grapes site
- Maui Warriors (Na Koa Ikaika Maui)
- Hilo/Hawaii Stars
- Freedom Pro Baseball League site
The Ballpark Digest article also mentions ties with the Freedom Pro League, that Mike Marshall is the league’s new commissioner, and that there will be ties for Hawaii with the previously-reported Japanese independent league. Should any or all of this be confirmed in the upcoming days, including the mention of a new website, then it will be posted on this site.
