Longtime independent baseball league player procurement specialist, Nick Belmonte (Sioux City Explorers), has joined the Sioux City Explorers staff at its new player procurement director. At the time of this post, he also is listed on the website for the Normal Cornbelters (Frontier League) as the team’s player personnel director. No word yet on if he will be a part of both staffs.
Nick runs the Indy Pro Showcase a few times each year, which is a large tryout for multiple independent baseball teams and leagues. He also has been involved with independent baseball since the 1993 inception with the Northern League.
