This week, former MLB slugger Jose Canseco will be back in a pro baseball uniform. He will become a player/coach for the rest of Laredo Broncos season:
What is interesting is that a reality show is supposed to be filmed during this time. Also of interest is the timing since this comes on the heels of the Broncos being unable to secure the new stadium rights away from the Ventura Group for the future of pro baseball in Laredo.
Of note, Canseco will be making the team’s minimum salary (according to the release). Feel free to add your thoughts on this situation as Jose is one of the most polarizing figures in pro baseball, and perhaps all of pro sports.
