More news coming out of Amarillo as the Southern Independent Baseball Group prepares to move forward on fielding a team in Amarillo in the American Association next year. Reunion Sports Group, the parent company of the Amarillo Dillas team which was its own LLC, had its arguments heard by the District Court Judge regarding the lease termination.

Of interest is the quote surmising that the Dillas former GM had presented conflicting information about the team’s finances. There is no evidence publicly available to confirm or deny this, so as more developments occur and are confirmed then they will be posted on this site.
Hopefully the situation gets straightened out soon so that all of the leagues can begin to plan accurately for 2011.
