The reason why this is newsworthy is because you are starting to see the independent leagues slowly work with each other on a small basis. The Golden League and Northern League had joint tryouts and will share a joint 2010 All-Star Game, the CBL and ULB had an exhibition series, the Northern League and American Association had an exhibition series, and with the AA and Can-Am League have their connection. Hopefully this begins a new trend for the decade that the leagues can find a way to work together and increase revenue streams for industry as a whole.
