An article came out on BleacherReport.com which talks about the new Pecos League. It cites a Las Cruces Sun-News article on the topic that some of the players in the Pecos League will not be paid during the 2011 season in order to keep costs low:

This is an upgrade from the CBL last year which had two developmental teams in the 4-team 2010 circuit. Presumably, players still would receive meal money and some form of housing during the season. No word yet exists on if this is a similar situation for the other 5 teams in the new league.
