Independent Baseball Coming To Topeka and Colorado?

An interesting article came out the other day from Topeka, KS:

It says that the Ventura Group announced that the City of Topeka and Ventura entered an agreement to explore bringing professional baseball to Topeka.  Presumably, this would be a team in the American Association as it currently owns the El Paso Diablos and Grand Prairie Airhogs.  They also plan to operate the 2012 Laredo team in the American Association as well as the 2012 team slated for Montgomery County, Texas

The other interesting part of the article was the mention of a possible team in Brighton, Colorado.  No official word from Brighton is available, so we will keep you posted as to any official developments.
