Two new independent baseball teams had home openers this past week, both of which were in stadiums which hosted previous independent pro teams. The Schaumburg Boomers (Frontier League) opened this week in the stadium which recently hosted games by the Schaumburg Flyers (Northern League, 2010). The new London Rippers (Frontier League) opened their home games at Labatt Memorial Park, which lasted hosted independent pro baseball with the London Werewolves (Frontier League, 2001).
