Stan was a longtime coach and manager in the Rangers, Yankees, Expos and Orioles farm systems. He also managed the Waterbury Spirit (Northeast League) from 1997 to 1998. He later served as a coach and manager for the Fort Worth Cats from 2005 to 2007 and again in 2011.
