BOULDERS WIN GAME 1, SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER AGAINST AIGLES

The Boulders outlasted the Aigles in the first game of their doubleheader on Saturday after their contest was postponed on Friday night. With the score tied 2-2 in the seventh inning things started to get interesting as the Boulders exploded for a three-run inning to take a commanding 5-2 lead. C Marcus Nidiffer (pictured) was the hero as he blasted a three-run home run with one out in the inning to propel the Boulders to the lead. It was Nidiffer’s tenth home run of the season and he finished the game with two hits and scored twice.In Game 2 of the doubleheader the Aigles defeated the Boulders 13-11. Elsewhere the Miners topped the Jackals 11-3 and the Capitales beat the Champions 6-1.
