TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Due to continuous inclement weather, tonight’s game between The Traverse City Beach Bums and the Joliet Slammers, has been postponed. It will be made up when the Bums visit the Slammers on August 25th. Tonight’s scheduled Back to School Night, sponsored by Western Michigan University, has been moved to this Saturday night. Tomorrow night, the Beach Bums welcome the Windy City Thunderbolts to Wuerfel Park for game one of a three game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm and the voice of the Beach Bums, Tom Willms, will go on the air with the Budweiser pre-game show at 6:45 on 101.9FM- The Bay. Join the Beach Bums for a Strike Out ALS Awareness Night sponsored by Advent Home Medical, where the players will be wearing specialty ALS jerseys that will be up for auction throughout the game.
