Gary Southshore 3, Fargo-Moorhead 2 – Box The Railcats rattled off a three-run sixth inning en route to their fourth consecutive victory on Sunday, as they swept the Redhawks in the process. The Redhawks briefly held the lead after going up 1-0 in the third before the Railcats overtook them in the sixth. 3B Kris Goodman was the hero, blasting a two-run double to take a 2-1 lead over the Redhawks. Goodman scored two plays later on an error, giving the Railcats their third run. The Redhawks started a mini-rally in the ninth but were unable to tie the game as they fell 3-2. Goodman was 1-4 with the two RBIs and the run scored. LHP Jeff McKenzie earned the victory, throwing six one-run innings in the win. McKenzie (2-3) allowed four hits, walked a batter and struck out four. RHP Drasen Johnson almost blew the save in the ninth but recovered after allowing a run to close the door and pick up his ninth save of the year.
