Winnipeg 4, Sioux Falls 3- Box The Goldeyes took a narrow 4-3 win over the Canaries on Wednesday afternoon at Shaw Park. Winnipeg plated three runs in the fourth, thanks to an RBI single from 1B Shawn Pleffner and a two-run homer off the bat of DH David Bergin. Bergin also drove in Winnipeg’s eighth-inning run on a sacrifice fly. Bergin and RF David Rohm had two hits each in the win. Goldeyes RHP Mikey O’Brien struck out six in 6.1 innings for the win, and RHP Ryan Chaffee struck out a batter in the ninth for the save. Canaries 2B Tyler Wolfe and 3B Patrick Fiala each homered in the loss. Fans can watch all American Association games live and for free at www.americanassociationbaseball.tv.
