BLANCO'S SOLID OUTING LEADS CAPITALES PAST CUBAN NATIONAL TEAM

After falling behind 1-0 through an inning of play, the Quebec Capitales scored runs in three of the next four innings to take control of the game and defeat the Cuban National Team, 5-1. Quebec starting pitcher Lazaro Blanco (pictured) tossed 8.1 solid innings to win his fourth game of the season. Blanco, a Cuba native, gave up just the first inning run on five hits with three walks and five strikeouts. Elsewhere, New Jersey beat the Dominican Republic, 8-5 and Sussex County defeated Rockland, 10-6.
