Sioux City 10, Gary 9 – Box The Explorers topped the Railcats 10-9 on Sunday, breaking a tie game in the eighth inning, thanks to a solo home run from SS Nate Samson. Samson finished 2-5 on the day, raising his average to .338 on the year. RF Michael Lang had a huge day at the plate, hitting a grand slam to tie the game in the seventh inning, and picking up five RBIs on the day in the win. C Dylan Kelly collected two hits in the victory, also knocking in two runs at the plate. RHP Kevin McKanna pitched the final three frames in relief for the Explorers, earning the win, his third of the year, while allowing a hit and striking out one. RF Colin Willis homered in the loss, his second long shot of the season. CF Chase Harris also added a homer in the loss, his first blast of the year. Sioux Falls 6, Cleburne 2 – Box The Canaries took the series on Sunday, winning their second game in three days against the Railroaders, thanks to a three-run first inning.
