After the Capitales started the game with a leadoff homer from C Maxx Tissenbaum (pictured), they added to their lead in the second with a RBI single from Taylor Oldham. The Boulders stormed back with a run of their own in the second thanks to a run scored by 1B Joe Maloney. The Capitales added two more insurances runs in the fifth and sixth innings, thanks to a RBI forceout from James McOwen in the fifth, and a RBI double from Tissenbaum in the sixth. The Boulders were unable to add any more runs at the plate, as they were shutout over the final seven innings. Yurisbel Graciel added another insurance run with a solo shot in the ninth to make it 5-1 and that score held for the final.Sussex County beat Ottawa 8-5 and Trois-Rivieres edged past New Jersey 8-5 to round out the night.
