Texas 5, Wichita 0 (Doubleheader Game One- 7 innings)- Box A pair of AirHog hurlers combined on a three-hit shutout to help Texas to a 5-0 shutout win over the visiting Wingnuts in the opening game of the twinbill. RHP Tyler Bremer made the start for Texas, and worked six strong innings, allowing just three hits and two walks. He struck out seven en route to earning the win. LHP Michael Freeman entered after Bremer and kept the Wingnuts off the board in the seventh to preserve the victory. Offensively, a 1-0 Texas advantage became 3-0 in the second when 1B Brian Ragira lined a two-RBI single. An inning later, LF Levi Scott completed the scoring with a two-RBI single of his own. Scott and Ragira each collected a pair of hits in the win. For Wichita, CF Harrison Kain had two of the three hits in the losing effort. Texas 2, Wichita 1 (Doubleheader Game Two- 7 innings)- Box LHP James Russell scattered a run and six hits over seven strong innings, picking up a complete game in the AirHogs’ 2-1 win over the Wingnuts.
