JOYNT'S TWO-RUN DOUBLE WINS IT FOR JACKALS

After the Capitales tied the game at four in the top of the 7th, the Jackals retook the lead for a final time in the bottom of the inning, with help from LF Brian Joynt (pictured). Joynt’s double plated two, giving the Jackals a 6-4 lead which they would not relinquish. The Jackals added one more run in the 8th inning and the Capitales scored once more in the 9th for a 7-5 final. Ottawa also beat Trois-Rivieres 6-4, Rockland swept Sussex City in their doubleheader, winning the first game 12-3 and the second game 8-2.
