2017 CAN-AM LEAGUE REGULAR SEASON BEGINS THURSDAY

The 2017 Can-Am League regular season begins Thursday night with all six teams in action. The league’s defending champions, the Ottawa Champions will begin their title defense at home by welcoming in the Trois-Rivieres Aigles at 7:05 p.m. RHP Austin Chrismon (pictured, 8-4, 2.39 with Ottawa in 2016), a 2016 All-Star and two-time Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week, makes the start at RCGT Park for the Champions. He will be opposed by veteran RHP Matt Rusch of Trois-Rivieres, coming off of a 7-8, 3.82 season for the Aigles in 2016.
