LANGBEHN COMMITS TO WASHINGTON THROUGH 2019

The Washington Wild Things announce today that they have signed field manager Gregg Langbehn to a contract extension through the 2019 season. The Wisconsin native was tapped as Washington’s manager prior to the 2016 season, following a two year stint with the Cleveland Indian’s Major League staff. Langbehn previously managed the Traverse City Beach Bums of the Frontier League from 2008-2013, and he won the 2012 Roger Hanners’ Manager of the Year Award. “The organization is very happy to extend Gregg’s contract and to continue to build on our successes from 2016,” said Wild Things’ General Manager Steven Zavacky. “This extension shows Gregg’s commitment to the Wild Things’ organization and the Washington community, striving for greatness on and off the field. The stability he provides this franchise is outdone only by the leadership he offers our players.
