Courtesy Kansas City T-Bones Media Relations Kansas City, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones announced that the Miami Marlins have purchased the contract of pitcher Mike Kickham. Kickham, a 6-foot-4 and 220-pound lefthander from Springfield, Mo., joined the T-Bones on June 26, 2016. In 14 starts, Kickham went 3-5 with a 2.83 ERA, which was fourth-best in the American Association. Additionally, he struck out 73 batters and walked 26 in 86 innings. “We’re proud of Mike and wish him the best with the Marlins,” said T-Bones Vice-President and General Manager Chris Browne. “I know he’ll make the most of this opportunity. “Mike’s a talented pitcher with local ties, so this is a great story for the T-Bones as well.” This will be Kickham’s second stint in affiliated baseball. The San Francisco Giants selected him in the sixth round of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Missouri State University. He reached the major leagues with the Giants in 2013, and spent parts of ‘13 and ‘14 in San Francisco.
