BOX SCORE AND GAME STATS By Adam Rickert Utica Unicorns 5 AT Eastside Diamond Hoppers 2 UTICA — A two-out, two-run double by Austin Crutcher broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh, leading the Utica Unicorns to a 5-2 victory over the Eastside Diamond Hoppers Thursday night. After the Unicorns took a 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI double by Crutcher and an RBI single by right fielder Chris Cruz, Diamond Hoppers starter David Ernst found a groove, allowing his team to tie the game on a single and a sacrifice fly in the third. Ernst went six innings for the Diamond Hoppers, allowing just the two early runs on six hits while striking out seven and dealing two walks, both of which came in the first inning. When he was taken out of the game in the seventh, however, the Unicorns saw an opportunity.
