WASHINGTON, Pa. — The Lake Erie Crushers, presented by Mercy, fall to the Washington Wild Things in game one, 1-0 on Tuesday evening, which was a game suspended in the third inning on May 22. The Crushers then dropped the second game, a seven inning contest, 4-3. With the losses, the Crushers (32-41) have now dropped six of seven games against the Wild Things this season. They fall to 15-25 away from All Pro Freight Stadium. The Wild Things (34-37) snapped a six game losing streak with the win tonight and won their first game in the month of August. Game 1 The two teams started the game in the bottom of the third inning with Zac Grotz (3-2) taking the mound for the Wild Things and Justin Sinibaldi taking over, for the Crushers, on the hill. The pitching was phenomenal throughout the contest. Sinibaldi went three innings, in relief of Juan Caballero who started the game in May. He did not give up a run, allowing three hits and striking out four hitters. Grotz went six innings, getting the win. He did not allow a run and struck out seven Crusher hitters.
